报告摘要:

Branching law is one of the fundamental topics in the representation theory of Lie groups, which studies the restriction of irreducible representations of Lie groups to their closed subgroups. In the past few decades, branching laws for symmetric pairs were well studied by some mathematicians. As generalization of symmetric pairs, branching laws of Klein four-symmetric pairs are being studied recently. In this talk, we report the recent progress on the branching laws of Harish-Chandra modules for reductive Lie groups. Concretely, we recall some general results of the discretely decomposable restriction of Harish-Chandra modules, especially for symmetric pairs. We would like to survey the relation between the restriction for symmetric pairs and that for Klein four-symmetric pairs.
