报告摘要：In this talk, we will discuss the following two questions:

(1) Given an algebraic surface S in (P^1)^4, let p_{ij} be the degree of the (i,j)-th projection from S to (P^1)^2. Which six numbers can arise in this way?

(2) Given a convex body A in R^4, and let p_{ij} be the area of its (i,j)-th projection. Which six numbers can arise in this way?

In particular, we will explain how they are related to each other. We will also propose some general conjectures about homology classes of irreducible surfaces in smooth projective varieties. This is joint work with Daoji Huang, June Huh, Mateusz Michalek and Shouda Wang.
